Cherry Myay College offers a two-year diploma program in Social and Development Studies for students from diverse backgrounds, cultures, regions, and states across Myanmar. The program is designed to meet the needs of communities by providing practical, relevant, and context-based education. It supports students from different parts of Myanmar and helps them build the knowledge and skills needed for social and community development. The curriculum includes key subjects such as English, Computer Studies, Social Science, Learning Skills, Academic Research, Organizational Development, Social Entrepreneurship, and Community Development. All subjects are taught in four semesters according to the Academic timeline within two years. In semester one: students are required to learn English, Computer, Learning Skills, Service Learning, and Social Science; in semester two, they will learn English, Computer, Community Development, Service Learning, Academic Research, and Social Science; in semester three, the students will learn English, Computer, Social Science, Academic Research, Social Enterprise, and Organizational Development; and in semester four, the students will learn Organizational Development, English, Social Enterprise, and Social Science, Academic Research and do internship.
Organizational Development and Social Enterprise Studies are conducted in collaboration with Payap University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Students will get a certificate in Community Development and Social Entrepreneurship from Payap University after the completion of their studies and Projects. During their academic studies, students are required to do service learning through outreach activities to the local communities. Moreover, students must complete an internship in the fourth semester as required by the program.
